Thanks for that Facebook advertising blog link and the tips! I’ll be bookmarking that. It’s a good thing that social networking sites like these can be used as a medium for advertisement. I feel that it’s gonna be pretty effective since a huge part of the world has a Facebook account.

I wonder if anyone has compared their click through rates from Google with Facebook? It seems like facebook it getting quite a bit of traffic now and can be really targeted to specific people.

Facebook says that we can start from as low as 0.01 bid rate but it never works and it won’t obviously because of the competition. It worked for me when i made the rate 0.45+ But facebook may be as good as adsense for advertising because we can do good targeting since facebook collect a lot of details from users including interests and likes. So that makes facebook the bese place to advertise next to google.

#6 should have read: “If you don’t have a lot of money, don’t advertise on Facebook.” There’s a high cost associated with Facebook’s ability to hyper-target it’s users. It can be a huge success or a bonfire of cash, and both typically cost quite a bit during the early testing phases. This means you’ll spend a lot to find out if it’s even the right avenue for your ad dollars.
