  • The search query report in Google Adwords is a fairly new report that has several great uses. In this post Amber has pointed out two of those uses that can help improve your PPC campaigns. Running a search query report is great for finding negative keywords to further help qualify your traffic and it can also help you find additional keywords to add to your account to increase overall site traffic.
  • The Google content network is a great way to generate traffic to your site, increase conversions and enhance your ROI. It’s also a great place to waste your budget and see no results, if you’re not careful. However, with smart management and effective use of the tools that Google has provided recently, you can advertise on the content network with much success.
  • This post is a quick summary of some landing page ideas that John has read about lately. First up was site-flow disruption: a disconnect between the expecation (ad text) and the presentation (landing page) of your value proposition. Next was barrier scanning: discovering and removing obstacles on your landing pages that keep visitors from getting to your conversion trigger. You can also use barriers to guide visitors to your conversion triggers.  The final point-to-ponder was designing landing pages for Quality Score. Humans are more important than Google’s QS, but in the end you have to find a happy medium!
  • It seems like every month Google adds another cog to the machine that is known as Quality Score. Recently, they confirmed that landing page load time can effect your Quality Score. In summary, make sure that your landing pages are not loaded with graphics and load as quickly as possible.
