  • 64.47% of the PPC industry manages pay-per-click for an SEM firm, while 35.53% manage an in-house PPC campaign
  • 25.45% of the SEM managers said that their monthly aggregate PPC spending is above $500,001 and 67.26% have an aggregate PPC spending of above $100,000.
  • 36.66% of in-house PPC campaign managers reported aggregate PPC spending of above $100,000
  • 42.08% have been involved with Internet/search marketing for at least 4 years. The other 57.92% of the demographic is relatively new to the Internet/search marketing field.
  • 63.16% of the industry holds at least a 4-year-college degree.
  • 52.63% learnt about PPC marketing through on-the-job training. 44.74% were self-taught.
  • 27.64% of the companies represented contain at least 100 employees. 27.63% are small companies with less than 10 employees.
