Hi Joe,

I feel that there is an important feature of quality which you may of overlooked and that is the keyword tracking and link structure. I have found that Google heavily penalises any known affiliate tracking servers when you link via them. I have had many keywords disabled in the past which were affiliate links direct linked to merchant landing pages.

The ad quality was fine the CTR 25%+, the reason they where disabled as they were affiliate promotions rather than the merchant doing the promotion.

So somewhere within the quality tick list there must be a box for the types of tracking links used.

[...] The survey results I posted on Monday ranked the importance of 12 AdWords Quality Score attributes. At the top of the survey rankings were click-through rate, ad text/keyword relevance, historical performance and landing page keyword relevance. Search relevancy is the core that binds the quality score together, and our survey reflects this idea. Also, these survey results are very favorable because each of these attributes are well within your realm to control and improve upon. [...]

I can say that the findings support the hypothesis that Adwords is certainly one of the best advertising "bangs for your buck" online today. I'm not certain what methods were used to develop the rankings or harvest the data, but the results are somewhat predictable and I would agree with almost every ranking on the list.
