Seo is a continuous process that needs to be mastered. Three of the most important techniques are link building, keyword choice and content writing. A competitive link building will definitely produce great result for a website. Hiring seo experts is a huge step but also a huge help.

I just recently joined a SEM firm, and I find that I search/think very differently from my coworkers who have been in the business for several years. I agree that it's good to get ideas from people outside of the business.

Without doubt asking others for ideas is a must to think outside the box for your keyword lists. If you have the resources conduct a focus group, you will be blown away with the different words you will find.

You're right Brian - it can often be all to easy to get stuck with your tried and tested practices and become lazy at trying new ideas. Asking others for a second opinion (especially people who don't know about PPC) is a great way to escape tunnel vision, encourage lateral thinking and try out new words you might otherwise have disregarded.

Cheers,
Alan

Hi Brian,

Couldn't agree more. We can research all we want, but ultimately people in the industry are the experts. I constantly ask clients what the lingo is in their industry and if it has changed. The truth is that their are infinite ways to find new keywords and you should always be on the lookout.

I think building a huge keyword list is a continuous marketing strategy especially for email marketing campaign. It is always been a rule to have your keyword list be designated to its targeted audience.
