My main issues are tracking with search engines outside of Google. My issue is not with gclid, but when I combine call tracking parameters with the &amp;utm code. By having my call tracking parameter before the &amp;utm, I was stripping all tracking info in Google.</description>

Thanks for that nice post Carrie. 
I&#039;ve been experiencing similar problems using 2 additional parameters. For now, I&#039;ve kept these 2 parameters before any Google Analytics tag but have not had any problem going that way. If you think about it, using auto-tagging in Adwords works the same way by simply appending gclid to each destination URL used, which means that your custom parameters will stay before.

I am so waiting for web analytics solutions to come out with universal tracking methods... :) I still can&#039;t believe the amount of time we all spend on these so-not interesting issues.</description>
