Hey John, Henry and Methinketh,

It's been a while since you posted these, but I wanted to go ahead and respond to them.

When it comes to allowing comments on the blog, we let through mostly anything that we feel users could benefit from. On a practical level, this means that we approve nearly everything that comes across. There are rare instances when someone attacks the blog (or even other commenters) and it lacks a benefit that could be offered to other readers. If it's just a mean comment for a mean comment's sake, there are times when we won't let it through. I think that these comments being posted as they are shows that we're fine with negative comments, as long as they could provide something worth sharing with other users.

As far as the content on the site goes, we recognize that there are users of all experience levels coming to the blog on a daily basis. This is borne out both in terms of % new visits that we see on Analytics and also blog suggestions/requests that we see come through. I'm sorry that you've found the content stale, and I hope in the four months since this was posted we've been able to change your opinion. Basic posts will continue, as new PPC-ers will hopefully find us on an ongoing basis. And we're always working on generating dynamic content that more experienced users be able to find value in.

Thanks for reading and thanks for the feedback. Despite the delay in response from us (sorry about that), we really do value our readers' opinions and hope that you continue on with us.

I'm so glad you mentioned this Henry! i agree with both of your posts! Recently I've been ready a lot of the blogs and wondering what happened. It looks like a lot of new faces. Maybe that's why. Definitely agree that it seems only positive comments are posted. Kind of funny, right? Apparently they don't like to be questioned.
