It looks like Yahoo or Bing does NOT have a good business model to compete in the marketplace for display ads. If they want to get in the marketplace, they need to be humble, and start with low CPC of 1 to 2 cents. I believe Google charges 1 to 2 cents per click, on many categories of display ads.

Good to see that for a change Yahoo has made a move in sync with the market demands.
I am though extremely disappointed with the customer service even in the display ads platform. The folks out there need to be trained to be polite, and ofcourse need less to say they don't leave a chance to be sarcastic.
If they have to come anywhere close to the market leader the people who are the face of the company need a change in their attitude. They need to understand that they are not doing a favor.

Our Yahoo rep showed us this program earlier this year calling it the "self serve display ad" tool. The issue was that it cost a minimum of $5,000 to try anything. Glad to see they've come to their senses.
