I had to start off this post with this awesome tweet by Mary Hartman, because it’s such a perfect analogy to the end of every Hero Conf.  We meet awesome new people, learn ground-breaking insights, and end up with amazing experiences and memories that we get to reminisce on for years to come. The only difference is – you’ll never get too old for this Summer Camp!!

This year, we made our way to the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, for Hero Conf 2016 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and boy was it a BLAST! Not only was it an amazing conference, it was the biggest conference we’ve ever hosted (I’ll get into some more details in a moment). The speakers were incredible as always, the food was delicious (we made our own Philly Cheesesteaks…yeah, it was awesome), there was SO. MUCH. SWAG. and the networking events were tons of fun (I mean, if you didn’t do the fun machine at the Bar Takeover Powered by Bing, you really missed out:D)! I could go on and on, but let’s face it, I’m biased. So, instead, the story of Hero Conf’s awesomeness will be told through a series of tweets posted by attendees and those that wished they were at the conference with us.

BUT FIRST…..let me take a selfie.Screen Shot 2016-05-03 at 3.46.43 PM

The Numbers!

  • There were 556 total registrants – a 10% increase over 2015
  • 2,031 tweets over the course of 3 days, with 8.07M impressions
  • 94% of attendees said they will return next year, so we must be doing something right!

Just to give you a bit of perspective on our registrant number, the very first Hero Conf in Indianapolis had 72 registrants. 72. And five years later, we’re over 500 and growing every year!

There were so many tweets about how incredible the speakers were
that I had a hard time picking just a couple!

We don’t do boxed lunches at Hero Conf. Ever.
We believe in delicious meals that fuel the brain and feature the local flavors of the city. The Snack Breaks included a make-your-own Philly Cheesesteak station, Soft Pretzels, Cannolis, and Lemon Ice.

Remember when I mentioned there was a lot of swag?
