Manager of Total Search Strategy and Planning (Paid Search & SEO) for specific lines of business across TMUS
What you'll do in your role.
Strategy & Planning
•Responsible for developing customized annual search strategy approach for specific lines of business that may include postpaid, prepaid, business plans, and/or home & entertainment.
•Develops customized quarterly plans based on current business information, custom research, research tools, search trends, and new search product opportunities
•Ensures activation team is adhering to the strategy and plan, and tracks progress over time
•Acts as an advocate and voice for the search team within applicable lines of business and across the organization
Internal Cross Team Collaboration
•Partners to ensure alignment with SEO, digital and commercial teams
•Utilizes data resources to create meaningful reports and insights for strategy and planning
•Works with activation team to create test and learn plans, and report back to business owners
•Ensure optimizations and test & learns are fed back to next iteration of campaigns or future campaigns
•Identify and communicate opportunities for improvements and optimizations to internal stakeholders
External Cross Team Collaboration
•Actively communicates with commercial analytics to determine best program KPIs
•Partners to ensure alignment with business owners, omni-channel media and audience strategies
•Collaborates with planning teams to ensure campaigns align with briefings
•Identify opportunities for innovation and/or optimization
•Actively communicates across the organization to champion the search program
•Sets realistic expectations across the organization with active communication and feedback
•Serves to open doors for the activation team to enable success; escalates blockers as needed
The experience you'll bring.
At least 8+ years of total experience; search experience a must; business strategy experience a plus
•Agency Media/Search Director level desired
•Excellent communication and presentation skills required
•Understanding of SEO (technical SEO experience not required, but is a plus)
•Telecom experience an asset
•Comfortable collaborating with cross functional teams at multiple hierarchical levels
•Landing page optimization experience an asset
•Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•Excellent understanding of account set up and optimization on search engines and platforms
•Knowledge of media planning/buying fundamentals e.g., frequency, channels, formats, etc.
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
