  • The content network in Google Adwords is still a mystery for a lot of PPC experts. Seoptimize has written a nice post on 5 common mistakes most people make when it comes to using Adwords content network. However I find it’s easy to get confused by reading this post. The first 3 are actual mistakes one can make, the last 2 are definitely “Do’s” regarding the use of the content network.
  • Alan Rimm-Kaufmann’s newest piece at Search Engine Land showcases the Eight Essentials for Writing Killer Ad Copy. This article points out ad copy’s place in the PPC hierarchy, and what ad copy should and shouldn’t be. The two points I found most useful were: writing copy focused on why the customer should by from you, not just on the product and testing shouts (big changes) and not whispers (subtle changes).
  • Long Live the Long-Tail says Tony Wright from ClickZ Network. Tony shares his strategies and tips for including long-tail keywords in his campaigns.
