The biggest hurdle I’ve come across with the AdCenter desktop tool is how much CPU it actually requires when up an running. With AdWords Editor, everything is instantaneous, not so with AdCenter. Until they figure that part out, they won’t reach their adoption goals.

Hi Alex!  I agree with you.  We actually have a separate desktop computer in our office to JUST use the adCenter editor so our Macs are not bogged down.  Just keep saying to yourself, “Still in Beta, still in beta…” and that might make it better!  Eventually they will get the kinks out and we just have to be patient!

      Thanks for reading PPC Hero!

Hey Noah!  Thanks for reading!  I guess I am one of the lucky ones… I haven’t had it crash on me yet (fingers crossed!)  One of my fave Barkley quotes that can be nicely applied to the editors of adCenter vs AdWords,

“These are my new shoes. They’re good shoes. They won’t make you rich like me, they won’t make you rebound like me, they definitely won’t make you handsome like me. They’ll only make you have shoes like me. That’s it.”

      Happy reading 🙂

This tool is so full of bugs. Have you ever tried copy-past a keyword or an ad?
Increasing bids by % when you are in a specific adgroup will throw you back to the account level. You can’t edit a keyword, just delete one and write another instead. Very hard and frustrating to use.
