Why We Love David SzetelaPosted by John on July 10, 2008 in Uncategorized |
There are a lot of PPC bloggers these days, but it is still easy to recognize the cream-of-the-crop. Our friend and fellow PPC guru David Szetela is certainly at the top. The Clix Marketing Blog, Dave’s home on the internet, has been nestled in my Bloglines reader for nearly as long as I’ve been blogging here at PPC Hero.
Dave is a busy guy. He started a new column at Search Engine Watch entitled Profitable PPC. This, of course, comes on the heels of his previous column’s demise. The Content Advertising column at SEW was a deep well of information for any content-wary advertiser. The new article is a poignant explanation of the 2 faces of PPC: the scientific and the artistic. While 90% of PPC may be scientific, not having the knack for the artitisic is an ROI killer.
Playing the PPC game without first taking the time to learn the fundamentals of advertising copywriting is like sitting down at the poker table with scant understanding of the rules, and proceeding to drop dollars into the pot while better-trained players scoop that money out.
Here recently, Dave’s also been making the rounds with his PPC Rockstars radio show. This week, he came knocking on our door! Dave interviewed Pat East, the president and CEO of Hanapin Marketing - my benevolent employer. Check out the interview to peak behind the PPC Hero curtain and hear Pat’s thoughts on PPC at large.
All of this is to say, that we at PPC Hero love David Szetela. He’s one of our favorite PPC bloggers and we’re honored to further the art, and science, of PPC with him!
